What inspired this new collection?

Selva SS24 by Lois London is a collection inspired by stunning jungle landscapes and tropical fauna. The intricate detailing of leaves have driven the print direction for the collection and rich tones of green, blue and orange taken from birds of paradise are the main colors for the SS24. The silhouettes are classic free flowing dresses and kaftans with signature draped styles from the brand in lightweight and cooling fabrics which are perfect for warmer seasons. Many of the prints have been designed to frame the wearer's body and contort as the garment converts, creating new patterns.

What made you select these specific fabrics?

Many of the fabrics are actually cooling for warmer climates which is ideal for resort wear.

How would you describe the aesthetic of this collection?

It’s a very signature aesthetic for Lois London, free flowing and timeless with a very bold graphic direction.

What is something you are most proud of when it comes to creating this collection?

Being able to really capture a print direction that represents the landscape of Sri Lanka and how to manipulate prints to be flattering on the body, for example our Bodhi print on our one piece swimsuit and the lines of the leaf was developed to slim the waist area.

Challenges you faced when creating this collection?

It was a lot of trial and error when we developed the prints and placements but we are perfecting and learning what truly works and it only seems to be getting better.

What is your favorite piece from this collection?

I'm in love with our Baha one piece from swim.

How would you style this piece?

I love wearing one piece swimsuits as ready-to-wear, styling it as a bodysuit with jeans, pants or shorts.

Can you tell us anything about any future collections?

Our next R25 collection is a new angle for the LL narrative, while still staying true to our strengths of creating versatile and eye-catching pieces we are showing a softer side to the brand.
