Drawing inspiration from the divine Sigiriya ladies of ancient Sri Lankan cave paintings, the collection connects the strength of women throughout history to the present day. The leopard, a timeless symbol of the predator, reminds us of the ongoing need to address both physical and digital threats, while the binary rose vines that intertwine the leopards and ladies, symbolizes how society shapes the safety of the digital space. The fabrics in this collection not only tell a story, but also serve a purpose with handloom pieces woven by survivors of violence at the Kandy Women’s Development Center in Sri Lanka, empowering them with economic independence. The recycled polyester knits underscore the designer's commitment to sustainability.
